In the lands of the [[Sirdabi Caliphate]] little is known about this shadowy individual, but from what anybody can gather the Augur seems to be prophecying the end of all kingdoms and empires as currently known, to be followed by a new era of sweeping peace and equality. Whatever it claims to portend, the immediate upshot of this message seems to be that much of south-central Idiri is embroiled in conflict, which has recently begun leaking across the southern borders of the western caliphate and stirring up more trouble on the edges of [[Ifru]] and, especially, [[Tessere]]. More worryingly still, the city of [[Noura]], the great trading emporium that lies on the edge of the Hazari Desert and the Gilded Plain, has evidently extended an official welcome to the Augur and become their base of operations. Some people are reassured by the fact that no obvious upheaval has struck Noura and that commerce continues as usual there, but misgivings remain and the Augur seems to strike sparks wherever they go.
