Emote command

EMOTE allows you to input a completely free-form action performed by your character. It can also incorporate speech and allows dynamic targeting of other characters, items, and objects. EMIT is a similar command that allows a description of things happening around you, but need not directly involve your character.

Usage

EMOTE <action message>
>weaves both heads back and forth as if attempting to look hypnotic, but only winds up getting its two necks twisted around. Awkward!
Aleph weaves both heads back and forth as if attempting to look hypnotic, but only winds up getting its two necks twisted around. Awkward!

>Nodding to $aleph, $me points at $its multiple heads. "Cool heads," $me says.
Nodding to Aleph the chimera, Nemi points at its multiple heads. "Cool heads," she says.

>reaches out to touch ~pot, but then quickly snatches $me's hand back as if afraid someone might have been watching.

EMIT <message>
>Wind blows down the narrow street, pushing trash around with a quiet scraping noise and making the open pages of ~book flap gently.

Emote Targeting

In order to target other characters in emotes you can use these pronoun markers to translate to the accurate word for each gender:

• $his, $hers, $its, $their => "your"
• $him, $he, $her, $she, $it, $they, $them => "you"
• $herss, $hiss, $theirs, $itss => "yours"

Please note that the symbols $, ~, and / can all be used interchangeably to target characters, as well as items and room objects!
