The RAISE command has both social and action functions. As a social, it allows you to raise your hand or to rise up on your toes. As an action, it lets you raise the hood on a cloak or other hooded garment. Raising the hood of a garment helps keep you dry when it is raining, snowing, or sleeting. It will also help conceal your identity, both by changing your sdesc and by concealing your exact location on the Who list.
