GLANCE allows you to take a quick look at another character which will show you a shortened version of their appearance, along with certain status descriptions such as wounds, wetness or messiness, and any temporary description they may have set. Glancing is ideal when you're interested in seeing whether anything pertinent has changed about a familiar character, and don't need to read their full custom description or worn inventory. Unlike LOOK, using GLANCE will broadcast to the room. If you want the utility of GLANCE without actually broadcasting it, you can use SGLANCE.

Glance can also be used as a social command on objects, which will simply show your character glancing at that object without providing you with any special information.

Usage

GLANCE <person>
GLANCE <object>

Parentheses will work with this command:

GLANCE <person> (<text>)
>glance aleph (with a snide smirk)
Donna glances at Aleph, with a snide smirk.
