The Gulf of Adwa is a narrow sea separating northeastern Idiri from the lands of Near Ruleska. Although it serves to divide the Sirdabi Caliphate into western and eastern domains, it is as much corridor as barrier, connecting the Sea of Salaah with the Adelantean.

Formerly called the Gulf of Marzum, it became known by its present name after the last century before the Great Dark, when the Rahoumi prophet al-Azad's wife Adwa crossed it while fleeing the strife that followed the prophet's death.
