Development Updates (2021)
October
- 10.27.21: Established the changelog on the website. Added new weather zones and locations for ships to travel through.
- 10.28.21: Initial development of the Marpagna city zone.
- 10.29.21: Put in some teas for the Morning Star Tearoom in Omrazir, and edited menu methods to be more universal and look better.
- 10.30.21: Added a lower story option to the RMENU to avoid roof-related indoor weather messages. Fixed some bugs: menu adding, peer/squint messaging, reading object obfuscate length due to language, login bug, overcomplicated darkness references, exit note for oocmail info. Added Volusia lore to the SoA wiki.
- 10.31.21: Made it so you can't quit while in a fight or grappling, or hide when held. Put guardhouse and port in DESIGN command. Added guard patrolling. Arranged for auto-generation of Volusian origin.
November
- 11.1.21: Made it so vicinity positioning is remembered, refined how room lights reset to get rid of some lag, added outfits for generating NPCs.
- 11.3.21: Added basic late autumn weather probabilities for Omrazir and St. Loomis regions.
- 11.10.21: Added a wiki page for the Mistwatch organization.
- 11.12.21: Added a Saints page to the wiki, along with information on San Bartolo. Added a wiki page for the town of St. Loomis.
- 11.14.21: Dug all rooms necessary to complete Omrazir's Great Map Shift, and also finished digging all White City exterior rooms.
- 11.24.21: Changed link for player wiki and cleaned up a few bugs. Also now there is an ESTEEM command (help esteem), though probably still working through long-term bugs for that.
- 11.25.21: Now you can play rock-parchment-penknife and Hakim's Deliberations with the PLAY command. Adjusted healing treatments to last a week without bandaging, and all bruises to be considered treated when a bone is set.
- 11.27.21: Now you can fill cups from the rain and so on and so forth.
- 11.29.21: Daily presence rewards for logging in, roleplaying with others, THINKing and FEELing as your character. Added LIFESTYLE command and opt-in hunger and thirst mechanics.
- 11.30.21: PCs can now have dreams, either on their own or sent by staff, that can be attached to story developments.
December
- 12.1.22: Private EMITting and GROUPWHISPER added as roleplay commands.
- 12.2.22: Added the SWAP command. Burps don't smell if you haven't eaten anything, and "ignore" response has been added to the TOSS verb. Lowered tracking roundtime, and changed roundtime on tossing and giving.
- 12.3.22: Added support for banknotes and tightened up some banking bugs, recategorized some commands and put in COMMANDS command, made it so you can [Dump command|DUMP]] objects into other objects and not just on the floor.
- 12.4.22: You can TOSS objects up into the air and catch them without a target. Also, tightened up consumption messages.
- 12.5.22: Added a few Faded Zone errands, and a gladiator NPC and weapon racks in the arena.
- 12.12.22: Added over a dozen new adverbs for use with SAY and social commands.
- 12.18.22: Added shop stocking and unstocking commands for player shopkeepers.
- 12.19.22: Added a couple new social verbs and modified some others. Added winter weather probabilities for Omrazir.
- 12.20.22: Added winter weather probabilities for St. Loomis.
- 12.25.22: Standing by a fire makes you dry off faster, and if the weather is freezing, you will dry off still if you stand by a fire even when outdoors. The DRY verb now works.
- 12.31.22: Fixed some bugs in dreams and added basic tailoring crafts. Fifty new adverbs added for SAY and socials. Also added the SNORT social.
