Cape of Mist

The Cape of Mist is a long arm of land that projects out from the far northwest of coast of Idiri into the sea. It serves to separate the Adelantean from the Great Stormy Sea, nearly touching the southernmost point of the Misty Reaches in the northern continent of Ruvera. So it is recorded on ancient maps, at least. Since at least the time of the Great Dark, however, and perhaps even for some time before, no ship has sailed this far west from either Idiri or Ruvera. Not only is the sea grown stormy and treacherous, but both sea and land are cloaked in a heavy mist that is said to hold a terrible curse and to conceal horrors beyond imagining in its depths. The only people who can claim any familiarity with the Cape of Mist are the Bissenke tribe known as the Horoubi, who have for obscure reasons designated themselves to maintain a vigil upon the mist, which they have faithfully kept for centuries.
