Pyre rose

The pyre rose is a variety of rose native to the Sirdabi province of Irzal in Ruleska, but now grown in many lands all around the Adelantean Sea. By Kalentic custom it is invariably linked with Kalen Phoenikos, as legend tells how the pyre rose grew forth from Kalen's ashes after he was burned at the stake. The color of its petals, a vivid pinkish-orange, enhances its association with fire, and also ties it to the beautiful fiery plumage of the phoenix and its Amunati counterpart the benu. No doubt thanks to these associations, the pyre rose is also symbolic of rebirth, renewal, and the natural cycles of life and death.
