Bazaar of the Nine Winds

The Bazaar of the Nine Winds is a large covered market, or qaysariyyah, located in the city of Omrazir. Set right by the southern Nthanda Gate, the bazaar straddles the Via Magna which forms the main avenue through it. The Via Petra and Via Fortuna also allow access to the market from the Dusk and Dawn sides of the city, respectively.

Though many smaller markets exist along the docks and scattered throughout the city, the Bazaar of the Nine Winds is the chief market of Omrazir, eclipsing all others in variety, size, and glamor. In fact it is the largest marketplace not only in Omrazir but in all Raziya. Its three levels host a complex of shops, eateries, and workshops representing nearly all the trades and guilds of the city, from bookbinders and jewelers to herbalists and weaponsmiths. The kinds of goods available for purchase here are practically limitless, and run the gamut from the practical and necessary to things that only a socially climbing merchant prince could afford (or want). On the lower level, beneath the street, mineral baths offer relaxation in the therapeutic waters drawn from the River Tamrasset. Entertainment and moneychanging services are available on the ground level, and the Customs Authority also has a branch office here.
