Musical Inspirations 1 of 4

I've been running into a bit of a rut getting my head around what musical inspirations the different cultures would have. I could assume that Tessouare music is inspired by Berber/Amazigh stylings, but I generally don't know what's expected, how entrenched musical tradition is, how much other cultures' music influences things; would you hear songs like those in the Llibre Vermell de Montserrat in Cadenza, and would it be Cadenza alone or would it spread to other places? Would you hear Greensleeves in Ensor? I don't have a great knowledge of Arabic music (or really any musical theory at all if I'm being honest) and it would be really good to have a benchmark especially for music that comes from the various parts of the Sirdabi Caliphate.

This might provide a good overview of some different musical traditions in the Sirdabi Caliphate:

Celestial Harmonies: The Music of Islam

The site itself provides a small amount of background for each of the albums in this compilation, so it's worth checking out. Most of the individual albums in this sampler are available on YouTube:

I'll cross-post this over to the SoA Inspired Playlist thread too. Hope this helps a little! I have a bunch of other albums I like to listen to as well, so I'll try to post some more at some point.

I made some rough parallels but Mistsparrow says that basically any of this music could be considered inspiration for Sirdabi Caliphate or Idiri musical influences. And that it doesn't need to line up one-on-one! Felt that addition might be helpful.

Cairo - Raziya
Sinai Bedouins - Saramat/Rahoum
Nubians - Koumbasi/Zalawi
Arabian Peninsula - Rahoum
Al-Maghrib - Tessouare
Tunisia - Al-Sabiyyah
Pakistan - Jalanjhur/Zalawi
Al-Andalus - Cadenze
Iran/Dervishes - Irzali

Sorry for jumping on this thread without anything particularly useful - but I just had to say OMG that website seems like an amazing resource, thank you so much for posting these, and in such an accessible way for us with all the different albums!
