Thank you for posting this! It's well done and also quite inspiring. I don't normally approach poetry but you've really sparked my interest with this poem.

<3 you! If you like the style (and also don't speak Arabic) I recommend Call Me Ishmael Tonight by Agha Shahid Ali. Angels is my favorite, trailed closely by Tonight.

I was actually struck by your poem, and almost immediately responded, though I'm glad others did too. It's a really enjoyable piece of work for all it's grimness. I'm reminded of Psalm 88; unique among Psalms, all other 149 Psalms are either exclusively praise, or, while they describe bad things, end on a positive note. Psalm 88, meanwhile, is the only one to go through and have every line be misery, and every single line ends on a bad note.
