A Question on Linguistics 1 of 3

Hello! So, hypothetically speaking... what languages would you expect a linguist from the Sirdabi Caliphate to be fluent in? I was a bit overwhelmed by the possibilities and thought I would just get someone else's take on it before I started pressing buttons!

We actually just put in a fix to languages in character generation, so that only languages that your character would be able to learn will now show up. If you end up wanting to request a different language from the lore due to having concocted a complex story background, you can put it in the comments of your application or request it via the PETITION command in-game!

Here's a link to languages on the wiki.

Hopefully it helps to see a smaller range of options, but in general, it'll depend on what style of linguist your character is. For instance, if you're a Sirdabi merchant who uses languages as part of trade deals with the east, then you'll probably want Salawi and Jalanit, and possibly also Irzali and Cadenze. Whereas if you're working with the Customs Inspectors, it's likely you'll want Ruzur to help deal better with surly locals. If you're an explorer and scholar who travels throughout Idiri -- then Molo, Bissa, Tessouare, and Xhalantu could come in handy. If you're a politician who often negotiates with the Kalentoi Empire, then you'll definitely want Standard Elukoi, and probably Cadenze as well. Irzali would be a good choice there too.
