What with the scarcity of some goods in Omrazir and the increased cost even of basic staples, times have been challenging for people of small means in the city. Even with an expansion of charitable efforts to keep people afloat, the poor have gotten poorer and the desperate even more so. One unsurprising result of this has been a noticeable uptick in criminality, and in particular the appearance of thuggish thieves and muggers even on respectable city streets. After numerous complaints of injury and theft coming from no less than the main thoroughfares of the city, the Lion Guard has been tasked with cracking down on these lawless reprobates and cleaning up the streets. Relief is at hand for upstanding citizens! .. For now, anyway.
