It seems that following the arguably disastrous perfume party at the fore of the Greenest Dolphin, that odd - or is it oddly dressed? - fellow, Esfandiar Shirazi, has been asking around about something Sayyid Al-Kazid supposedly said - that there had been seen a phenomenon appearing like black veins in the water some days prior. Were they runoff from the bilge? An ill-fated squid perhaps? A noble's addled imagination? Or something more sinister?
