"Another murder's happened, one of those gory ones involving the furreners... they say it happened in Hollyhill this time. Everyone agrees you don't shit where you sleep, so any suspicions that the murderer may've been a denizen of this particular poorer neighborhood is put to rest. Right...? That leaves the town gossips to speculate loudly on every street corner. Are the furreners really just doing sacrificial rituals? Heathens! Of course, maybe they're just being picked off by something or other. Unless maybe heathens spontaneously explode sometimes. No fire, just blood. Then again, if people were just exploding, the guards probably wouldn't be investigating so much."
