"There was quite a commotion all around Beacon this evening! Apparently that woman Lucy Mudlark was attacked in her shop by that killer everyone's been talking about. There was shouting and the guards were called, and that young foreign smith was running around carrying poor Lucy through the streets, the two of them bloody. Eventually they must have gotten help, because they were spotted at the cathedral later all stitched up."
