The general air of the townsfolk has become more relieved and easy to quite a pronounced degree, and for a short while there's almost a sense of jubilation around St Loomis. Some have even begun to look favorably upon many of the foreigners now, whom they claim went into the Mist and returned with the long-missing regiment of Mistwatch commanded by the Master of Lamps. Sure, it did seem more as if the Mistwatch had saved the foreigners than the other way around, judging by the numbers of wounded, but -- well, that's only to be expected, and at least those outsiders were brave and tried to help! Stories are spreading, particularly about the outlander Lioness's axe. Some say the Lioness felled nearly as many mistmonsters on the way out of the woods as an actual Mistwatch guard might've done! Yes, it's safe to say the Lioness is becoming an object of admiration among those of St Loomis... but in general, everyone's just glad to have Lampmaster Hal back. But where's the Mistwarden? And what will the delegates from Imbryck think, once they've recovered from their ordeal in the Mist?
