The Bey's Unexpected Guest

A happy sense of scandal sweeps the streets of Omrazir as more interesting news descends from the heights of the palace. Did you hear about the lady from the barbarian prince's retinue? well-informed folks ask one another in shocked delight. It seems the palely pretty little thing managed to get into the bey's own private wing of the palace simply by telling everyone she met along the way that she had an "appointment" with him! And once she was there, she was suffered to lecture him angrily on the inhospitable treatment of her liege the prince, and -- most shocking and delightful of all -- she slapped the bey's pet angrosh (ahem, ahem, personal bodyguard) right in the face! After the stultifying staidness that is the norm in the Court of Great Consequence, everybody seems positively gleeful to have a scrap of scandal that might have been left over from the days of Mihran Bey himself. As for what exactly the outcome of all this was, nobody seems to have been tossed out of the palace or gored to death yet so maybe there's hope for more excitement to come?
