Questions about crafting materials and the fabrications/patterns used to make items 1 of 3

Thanks for reading this!

I have been enjoying learning various skills and trying different things - a lot of trial and error activity!

Firstly, Is there a way to check what kind of fabric or material (s) are needed for a particular pattern or fabrication? Other than trying to make it and getting a reply that I don't have 'suitable materials.'

Secondly, some fabrications/patterns that are designed to be warm are not adding the wearer's warmth. Is there a specific thing I need to do for that to happen?

Thirdly, I have an idea about making waxed cloth for food storage projects. I would think that a pot would be needed, as well as a fire. then one would put wax in the pot (maybe some time for it to melt?) and one would then 'dip cotton in wax' to get the waxed cotton. Which would then be imbued for food preservation characteristics.

Thanks again!

These are awesome ideas, thanks!

Warmth not working properly is probably a bug.

Waxed cloth containers for food preservation is a nice idea; we also need root cellars and that kind of thing to help with food decay rates.

Tailoring designs should be updated hopefully soon to show what materials are suitable for the generic base patterns.
