Omrazir Wish List 1 of 6
March 27, 2026, 9:42 a.m.

Now I've been playing for a while, there are a few things I'm (relatively?) certain aren't out there in the big beautiful sprawl of Omrazir that I'd love to see! I know making shops is a ton of work so this is not meant to be any pressure, just player perspective on things that would delight me.

Love to see other people's lists too!

TEACHERS/CRAFTING:

  • Acrobatics teacher (really missed an important skill in chargen there... I thought 'acrobatics' meant like, doing flips. I've been too embarrassed to own up to this one ICly and ask for a lesson)
  • Tanning equipment in the tannery, and a leatherworking teacher would be great too! I'd love to play around with my pile of hides.

SHOPS:

  • Furniture in the carpenter's shop, like trunks, shelves, etc - really useful for organizing rooms when you're a hoarder;
  • More options at the produce shop for more variability in cooking (I think the recipes exist?);
  • Art supply store - palettes, basic paint colors, charcoal, etc.
  • A scrap shop selling scraps + wretched odds and ends you can turn into scraps for tinkering. I've been able to scrap bandages for fabric but have struggled to find scraps of other materials. And everything I own is battered because I'm dumb and keep fighting jackals. (This could also double as a pawn shop, buying random things very cheap and reselling them outrageously.)
  • Drug store. I plead the Fifth.

RP/MISC:

To be honest this grid is incredible for RP locations and hideyholes, so there's almost nothing I feel is 'missing' on the RP side. But...

  • A bank in the Bazaar, I do 90% of my buying there and keep having to run back and forth all the way to the wharf. Maybe off the Info Center?
  • A room for the research system, so I can inflict a large number of IC writings on the world;
  • More of an Amunati district off Ruhani Row, since they're such a neat culture and they have such a distinct visual style. Would love in particular an Amunati formal garden or something, as that's generally an RP space I haven't found.
  • Pure indulgence and at the bottom of my list: More old ruins/secrets, especially caves, underground stuff, etc. I'm sure I haven't found them all yet, though.

WILDERNESS/FORAGING:

Pending actual ability to mess around with things like foraging, anyway! I'm not sure what there is hard-coded vs. what builders can do.

  • Would love to see some areas of slightly more varied biome where it makes sense, because I get unreasonably excited about foraging in rooms of different types. I know that's a BIG lift, though, and the skeleton of the wilderness is huge.
  • Being able to forage clays of different colors would be super cool so we could have some variability with clay without needing custom clayforms. I know there's yellow clay somewhere but having white and purpleish would be awesome.

PS. It took me a while to adjust to this grid's challenges (I am spatially incompetent) but now that I have, I love it to death. Thanks for the incredible amount of hard work that clearly went into building it!

+1 to drug access! Though certainly not in the form of a store. If everybody and their mum can waltz into Ye Olde Narcotiques and buy illicit stuff I will weep for my immersion.

I think it should probably be gated behind things like Shady Arts, Street Smarts, criminal reputation, and even story arcs, so that characters who have invested heavily into the Rotten Crook role can have an opportunity to play it.

I do recognise that the same could be said of any craft/skill, and there is a game population issue to consider when it comes to accessibility. But I don't think said issue extends to something like drugs; there should be a degree of exclusivity that requires making the right contacts and connections, even if the game population were at an all-time high.

There are a lot of legal drugs! I agree anything seriously shady should be gated for the reasons you mention, though.

Nodding alongside those and the gating. Or skills are required to search it out etc. (finding hidden stuff is fun)

Mostly commenting towards that any npc can teach if they have the skill, so you are able to ask with the command 'ask about learning acrobatics' or any other skill and pester a bunch o' em about it if they do teach. It costs 50 and 'learn check acrobatics' will inform how much exp is needed (or petition to ask, heyyy might someone give a bit of lessons  around town if you wanna rp it)

I did get a bit of giggles coming across a character learning acrobatics in the town square a year or so past, though the acrobatics does govern climbing I was imagining some more hilarious movements.

I did try asking a few random guards about acrobatics, but no NPC I've found can do it (or leatherworking) thus far! I SHOULD ask a PC but it just feels so silly to have zero ranks in the equivalent of an Athletics skill on an outdoorsman PC I have... just tried not to RP about it...

There is an npc out there so your hopes aren't lost (for the acrobatics one) and I don't think it is silly! It could always be roleplayed as wanting to improve and skip past the not having any as the teacher can't tell what level is someone is at, but sometimes with hindsight we go...whoops.

I think skill level only comes into play for teaching as it requires 4 levels in a skill to do.
