GameHelp History

24-09-07 14: 59:25-05 [-] a short, reddish-gold-eyed young man: I'll just try my best not to break anything in the meanwhile!
24-09-08 00: 10:45-05 [-] a shadowy vagrant: just wanted to answer an earlier gamehelp question about using rope for climbing!
24-09-08 00: 11:48-05 [-] a shadowy vagrant: basically if you're stop an incline you can tie some rope in order to climb down more safely (command is in the general ability 'use rope' -- ab use rope)
24-09-08 00: 12:09-05 [-] a shadowy vagrant: atop* an incline.
24-09-08 00: 13:10-05 [-] an austere Sirdabi woman with copper eyes: So to clarify, we need to type the command 'use rope' and that should help modify our climbing action afterward?
24-09-08 00: 13:22-05 [-] a shadowy vagrant: the mountaineering passive in acrobatics is just a bonus to your climbing rolls. You can also CLIMB with the added 'carefully' argument in order to have a better chance
24-09-08 00: 14:19-05 [-] a burly, sienna-hued young man with short walnut-brown hair: Ohh, thanks! Does 'use rope for climbing <direction>' only work once or does it establish that rope permanently in that direction? Like setting up a rope for others to use as well.
24-09-08 00: 14:34-05 [-] a shadowy vagrant: maybe you want to climb down a canyon wall -- you'd 'use rope for climbing wall' and that would result in you setting up the rope in the room for that purpose so anyone could use it
24-09-08 00: 15:31-05 [-] a burly, sienna-hued young man with short walnut-brown hair: Got it! So for let's say a maximum bonus to making a difficult climb, someone could set up the rope, then 'climb carefully wall', and then if they have mountaineering they have even more of a bonus on top of the rope + carefully.
24-09-08 00: 15:38-05 [-] a burly, sienna-hued young man with short walnut-brown hair: Is that right?
