While a lumberer camp can provide a job, many craftspeople also need
wood for various tasks. It's certainly possibly to go out with one's
logging skill and cut down trees.

This can be dangerous, so it's worth doing with a teammate, or with a
particularly skilled professional who knows how to notch trunks
properly.

There are usually groups of local lumberers who know who's who in the
logging world, and you could theoretically become famed among them
for felling the most and the biggest trees.

In order to mill lumber, you will need a sawpit and a group of such
lumberers to aid you with working the crosscut saw at said pit.
