The Sea of Mists

Hi guys! Is there anything generally known about the Sea of Mists? Sailors seem to be frightened of it, and I'm vaguely aware that it's west of the Adalantean, but I'm having a hard time picturing a map in my head.

Most sailors would know about the sea of mists, but regular non-sailor sorts wouldn't know much about it at all. And what most sailors would know is that it's a place you really shouldn't go. Stories of ghost ships and haunted sailors might be relatively common, or sea monsters, or just any superstituous and relatively unbelievable story. It's a sort of 'edge of the world' myth that pretty much limits any maritime travel in that direction (west of the Adelantean).

Personally I love to imagine there's a whole New World on the other side, dominated by a steam-powered Aztec empire, but we just don't know about it because of the fears surrounding that portion of the sea. >.>
