Maysali is a celebration that takes place primarily in the lands around the Sea of Sala'ah. It celebrates the end of the heavy monsoon season and, among many peoples, the beneficence of the goddess Maysa. Although widely observed, the date of Maysali varies from place to place depending on the exact timing of the monsoon season in each locale. In Zalawi, Maysali is celebrated in Ashbat (May), whereas in Jalanjhur the date is usually sometime in Lemnis. Laascana and Suurmi are the two cities in the Sirdabi Caliphate where Maysali celebrations are most extensive, but they can be found to some degree wherever significant numbers of Salawi or Jalanit reside (even where there is no monsoon season).

That said, I think our calendar observation date should probably be pushed back into later May to fit the local monsoon better, so look for that to most likely be updated soon!
