I am one of the staff here, and Donna is one of my NPCs! If you end up having a chat with her, it's me. I started playing MUDs when I was 12-13, in the early 2000s, and stopped for a stretch between 2012-2019. I've gotten back into them in the past couple years. My favorite types of games have been Atonement, Parallel, and Shadows of Isildur -- but the game I played the longest was Aetolia. I've learned a lot in MUDs, and made important friends, and built formative memories.
I value storytelling highly and hope to help people tell stories that reflect on our shared humanity, in all its nuanced depth; toxicity, brightness, and growth. I will never take the role of "God" in game, as I believe the fabric of the universe transcends all levels of artificial realities. Also, to be less mystical, I'd like players to see me as a fellow player rather than an all-important high administrator. We're all playing to have fun -- whether I'm loading mobs and sending dreams, or scolding someone for tracking mud into the Seaglass Inn.
