There is a gladiator! He's over in the Dream area of the starter zone, rather than the Faded Zone proper.

So if you begin at [The Faded Zone, A Tingle in the Mind] (the room you first started in), you then: >go path >go arena >w >n >up.

Once you're there, there is a weapons rack that you can get a weapon from (LOOK IN RACK), and then just ATTACK the gladiator to start a fight. There are spirits around that can heal you as long as you aren't currently in combat, but at the moment they don't seem to be very keen to do it indecision

In your right hand, you are: holding a finely-sewn purple lace abaya, holding a yellowed beeswax candle, holding an inkwell, holding a small sheet of parchment and holding a feather quill

This becomes quite long to read after several items. Perhaps there could be a config to truncate it and remove the world holding? Haven't been playing long, so perhaps that word is necessary.

Good idea! It's not necessary, there are other ways to hold things but "hold" is the only way to hold multiple items in one hand. So, you're right, all that repetition should be sheared down. Thanks. laugh

Another bit of feedback!

For objects that are a specific type of another object (e.g. rock, fish, bag) it'd be really useful if it was possible to refer to them by that general name, rather than having this happen

> find rock

You begin to look around...
OOC: This action takes 5 seconds.
After a short time searching...
You find a small chunk of cloudy quartz.
OOC: You may do another action.

> find rock

You have to have at least one hand free.

> put away rock

You're not holding anything matching a description of 'rock' here.

Great suggestion, I've been thinking about adding that functionality for a while. Now it's added. Thanks!
